What are thermoformed aligners?

For several years now, we have been using the Invisalign® and Angel® transparent gutter methods, which are much more discreet and comfortable for our patients. Wearing custom-made aligners transforms your smile. These removable aligners will gradually correct the alignment of your teeth.

How long does a treatment take?

Every week, you will change your aligner. This gentle change will guide your teeth to the desired final position. Depending on the patient's condition, an Invisalign® or Angel® treatment lasts between 3 and 36 months. It is generally shorter as the tooth movements are calculated more precisely, thanks to a 3D simulation of the treatment.

How does the treatment work?

First visit: an initial consultation at our Schaerbeek practice will determine if you are eligible for Invisalign® or Angel® treatment. We will take impressions, photos and x-rays, as well as a complete clinical examination, in order to make an individual diagnosis.
An explanation of the treatment plan will be given to you, as well as a detailed quote.
Presentation of a 3D simulation (optional) of your orthodontic treatment, to visualise the dental movements that will be carried out progressively, as well as the expected final result.
Following the order of the custom aligners, your treatment can begin, and follow-up visits will be scheduled.

What is Dental Monitoring?

When you start your orthodontic treatment with aligners, we will offer you a Dental Monitoring starter kit. This kit allows you to scan your teeth using your smartphone and helps us to monitor your treatment remotely.

At regular intervals, you will use the Dental Monitoring app to capture images of your mouth and send them to us via an app. These images are securely sent to the practice and a software that will allow us to examine these images to monitor the progress of your treatment. With Dental Monitoring, consultations are more flexible and less frequent for the greater pleasure of our patients. You can always be sure that your alignment is correct and you only change your aligner at the right time.
