The speech therapy assessment is conducted on-site at our Ortho Friends center in Brussels.
The speech therapist assesses your child's or adolescent's oro-myofunctional functions to develop a personalized treatment plan. Available every Wednesday for consultations, she works in collaboration with the orthodontists at our practice.

Why combine speech therapy and orthodontics?
The success of dental alignment depends not only on braces or aligners, but also on the balance of the facial muscles. Therefore, we have integrated a speech therapist into our team to directly address the cause of tooth movement and shorten the duration of orthodontic treatment.
Example: if the tongue pushes incorrectly against the teeth or if swallowing is "atypical", the teeth may shift again after treatment.
